Happy Birthday

Welcome everyone!  Sue here today with a card using metal sheets and alcohol inks with the new Art Deco Roses die.

Art Deco Roses

I used copper metal sheets (you can use any type of metal) and inked it up with alcohol inks, making sure to leave some of the copper showing through.

Metal Card Supplies

Then I sent it through my Vagabond, cutting four of the corner rose pieces and adhering it to embossed card stock.  Use strong adhesive for this (Ranger Multi Medium in matte) as the metal is heavier than paper.

I love the variegated colours and metal shine on this delicate die, so very pretty.

Deco Roses Birthday

I finished off by adding the large Fancy Happy Birthday sentiment to the centre of the card.

Just a reminder that we have a Feminine Challenge going on right now.  Please stop by here to check out all the details.

Thanks for visiting with me today!

Sue, wonderful card. I have always used these inks on acetate and gotten really great results but never thought to use on metal sheets. I have some there, must try it. Really love the effect.
