Rose is a rose is a rose...

Masa leaf frame

Today I'm sharing my red and white card.  I love red and white!  It looks elegant to me.  I started with my blank cardstock, then added a red background and then a white background.  I used the Massa Leaf Frame die to make my frame and leaves (including the small one you get with the die).  I then added my rose from Wild Orchid and made my butterfly by using the Delaney and Cheviot Butterfly dies.  Added some bling and it's done!

It was fun to make!

Butterflies for Mother's Day

In thinking ahead to Mother's Day, I created a simple card to send love to Mum on the wings of Poppystamp's newest butterflies.

Butterflies 427Supplies:

Poppystamps Cheviot Butterfly die [1024]

Poppystamps Delaney Butterfly die [1028]

Poppystamps Longier Stem die [1012]

This is a simple card to make.  Simply cut out three Cheviot butterfly backs and three Delaney Butterfly outlines.  I glued them together and set aside.

Next, cut out the Longier Stemp on the top, reverse the direction and cut along the bottom.  Be sure to keep the stems that are cut out.

Glue the purple cardstock to the cardbase.  Then glue the Longier stems back into the place they were cut out.  Then adhere the butterflies across the middle of the card.

Your greeting can go inside and it can be for Mother's Day or Hello or Birthday or whatever you like!

A Sunny Thank You

I created this card featuring PoppyStamps dies as a sunny thank you card for a dear friend.

April272014The sentiment for this card is a sticker and is basically the equivalent to "Thank you very much".  And while it is past Easter, it is still Spring so I added a sweet little bunny in the corner by the tree.  I used one of the two bunnies in Bunny Buddies and reversed it.

The tree is my favorite Viva Tree with a bug haircut (so to speak). I trimmed off the majority of the branches and leaves, leaving enough to glue on pink and purple Brighton flowers.

Need a way to use up some yellow scraps of paper?  Use them to create the look of lights in windows.  A little bit of scissor work to get them to fit just right and a glue pen will light up your card.

This card could easily be used a a Home Sweet Home sentiment to welcome someone into their new home or placed on a bluish background and cut out clouds from PoppyStamps Dies, perhaps some balloons embellishments or balloons cut out by hand for a sunny hello or get well soon.

PoppyStamps Fresh Cut Grass Die [1016]

PoppyStamps Brevilla Houses [1009]

PoppyStamps Brighton Flower Border [1012]

PoppyStamps Classic Ribbons [1005]

PoppyStamps Viva Tree [901]

PoppyStamps Bunny Buddies [998]

Scissors, adhesives, cardstock, greeting and protractor [for the sun] or something else to trace or cut a sun.

Enjoy your Sunday and make something to brighten someone's day with PoppyStamps Die Cuts.

Welcome by Sherry Eckblad

Hi PoppyStamps followers, Sherry E here with a card I created using a couple of the newly released dies.

I love creating multiple layer wreaths and the new Chochitlan Wreath was perfect for doing just that.

I used my cardstock and my Scor-buddy to emboss into my cardstock to create the impression of a front door. I added a brad to the right side to represent the door handle.

Then I adhered all my 6 layers of my wreath on the door and added some pearls. Then I cut out the banner using the Classic Ribbons die.

Thanks for stopping by to visit today I appreciate you and your comments that you leave me.

Butterfly Breeze

This glimmery butterfly trio seems to float on air against the textured pattern of the Rhapsody designer stencil from Memory Box. I created this shiny effect with shades of light blue ink and clear embossing powder. The colorful butterflies take flight against the Massa Leaf Frame in shades of green, with a few extra little leaves in teal. The tiny blooms were done in pastel shades with tiny turquoise embellishments in the center. Together, they all come together in a breezy butterfly card, perfect for almost any occasion.

Live your life in color!

Bountiful Sunflowers

Hi everyone!  Sherry Hester here with a very simple card using the Bountiful Sunflower die and the Texture Disperse stencil from Memory Box.

Bountiful Sunflower

I stenciled the background onto a piece of white card stock using soft yellow and green inks, then splattered the background using a wet brush to pick up the ink that I swiped onto an acrylic block.  I cut the sunflowers from white card stock and used a dauber to sponge the green and yellow colors onto the flowers and stems  I added some glimmer with a glitter brush on the yellow flower tops, and then adhered the flowers to the stenciled card piece.  I snipped off the stems that hung over the left and bottom edges.  I randomly added some green gemstones.  I mounted this assembled piece with mounting tape onto a slightly larger size of green cardstock and then adhered that to the card base.  This was a very quick and easy card to make for just about any occasion.  Thanks again for stopping by!

Poppystamps goes Dutch ;-)

Since we will be celebrating King's Day in our country on 26 April this year(the official day is 27 April, the date marking the birth of our King), I thought it would be nice to make a series of cards with dies that have a great Dutch feel (the cow, tulips, houses). Of course I've taken all the national colours, red-white-blue, which is our national flag and orange of course, since our King is officially King Willem-Alexander of Orange. It's nice to see you here to celebrate this national holiday with me ;-)
