Waiting for Santa

Greetings and Happy Holidays!

I hope this finds each of you well and enjoying your holiday season with friends and family.

I watched an old favorite the other night, Rudolph, and thought that it would be nice to create something that reminded me of Santa's flight.

Supplies you will need:

 Santa's Sleigh [923]

Woodland Fawn [945]

Large Fremont Pine [906]

Let it Snow Clearmount stamp [CS309B]

Brillant Ink, Red-colored Glitter Glue, Embellishments [rhinestone, pearls], Q-tips, adhesives and scissors.

How-to:

I took a few Q-tips and dabbed them on the brillance ink pad and dotted all over the card to create the snow.  Then I cut the Fremont trees.  All trees on the card are from the Freemont tree, I just cut some of them to be thinner by cutting down with scissors after die cutting to give them the illusion of being in the background a bit.  I then added pearls of different colors to simulate lights on the tree.

I cut out a banner after stamping the Let it Snow and added a rhinestone to the center of the snowflake and used a glue circle to adhere to the card.  I glued the sleigh slightly tilted as if it were getting weighed down with packages and curved the deer legs just a bit as if it were ready to fly. I added a little of the red glitter glue as a collar for the deer.

For the snowy background I used scissors and rotated the paper slightly as I cut.  To complete the card, I added a little wooden laser cut house embellishment.

Have a happy holiday season and "let it snow!"

Freemont Pine

Large-Freemont-Pine-CUI hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving surrounded by friends and family - oh and a fabulous meal of course!  Are you shopping today?  I love that I can find all my favorite things from the comfort of home!  And you can bet there are some wonderful Poppystamps dies that will be headed my way very soon!!

Today I made a fun Christmas card featuring the Large Freemont Pine die.  I cut one in a dark green and another in a light green and switched out the die cut pieces to make two complete trees.   They really steal the show with the heart shaped gems for sparkly ornaments!  The Trudeau border is so striking with the colored card stock peeking through.
Large-Freemont-PineThanks for stopping by for a look!  Have a beautiful day!

May your holidays Sparkle

Hi, Chunyuan here today.  I am sharing a card made with one of the Poppy Stamp new release Holiday Village and a sentiment stamp.

I stamped Holiday Village repeated in red to create the background. The sentiment was embossed in white on red cardstock.  Some Studio Calico wood veneer stars were dipped in Delicata Golden Glitz ink before adhereing.

Poinsettia Thank You

It's almost Thanksgiving, and I want to wish all of our visitors a very happy day with family and friends.

I absolutely love the Small Blooming Poinsettia die and I’ve used it once again … well really, six times again … on this thank you card.

Thank You So Much - poinsettias
The Diamond background was cut using the same cardstock as the base card to give it an embossed look.  I used a strip of ivory burlap behind the Lovely Tendril pieces, and arranged the gold and ivory poinsettias in a cascade fashion, then added a pearl to each of the centers.  I also used a glitter pen on the ivory petals to give it a little shine. Hope you like this one!!

Pink Poinsettia

I like flowers, especially those that have interesting colors. Today I wanted to share a card with a pink poinsettia.

Pink flower-aFor the card I used paper Memory Box 'Brioche'. As decoration I used a small die Dainty Corner.

I cut the  Blooming Poinsettia in pink  and  to create my flower. I finished by adding brad from white pearl to the center of  flower. You can add a few small beads on a string and gently decorate the liquid pearls.

Pink flower1-aI appreciate you stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

You're such a deer...

Today I have quite a CAS card to show you, I've kept it fairly simple and only added this delicate frame around the stamped deer, added some bling, for the way I see it every Christmas should have a touch of glitter and shine ;-) Have fun preparing for Christmas!

Coming Home

Closeup fence-WM

This card began with the idea of a winter garden, and I would wait until December to debut it on our Poppystamps blog. But as it came to life, I began thinking about Thanksgiving Day, and my favorite part of this unique American holiday: coming home. Students come home from college, young families come home to Grandma's house, and soldiers come home to see their mamas. And in all that traveling and turkey basting and trekking through the woods, our most loyal friends are the first ones to greet us at the gate. Who's here, we ask? But we already know.

Happy Thanksgiving, America!

Comfort and Joy

Today, I'm sharing a holiday card crafted in traditional colors with Poppystamps dies and stamp set from the new release.

ComfortandJoy

I wanted to combine a homespun look with a little bling. To begin, I die cut a textured white cardstock strip with the Diamond Knit border. I only cut about 3/5 of the border on the left-hand side. I then rotated the die and cut the right-hand side. By this method, I was able to leave a background spot for the Fremont tree. I stamped the Comfort and Joy sentiment stamp, masking off the "to you" and the bird, directly onto the red card base to which I then adhered the knit border. I cut the Fremont Pine Outline from silver cardstock for some extra shine and glued it to the Fremont Pine Background with Glossy Accents. I adhered the tree, once dry, to the knit border with dimensional adhesive and finished the card off with a metallic twine bow.
