Holiday Bubble and Bling

Make your holidays shine with these two fun new dies from Poppystamps! I used the Bubble Ornament die to make a cherry red decoration swinging off a Berry Sprig branch, decorated with ruby red jewles. To make the artsy gold chain, I used an old-school hand-held hole punch with a scrap of shiny gold paper behind it. This card was so much fun to make, and it really put me in the mood for some holiday sparkle and cheer!

Live your life in color!

Petit Four Border Thank You

Hi Friends!  I hope you are having a great day and the sun is shining wherever you are! Today I made a fussy looking card that was really simple using just one die - the Petit Four Border - and a colored note card.

I cut the border several times from off white card stock and glued them in rows on the note card.  I topped it off with a bow and a button threaded with some twine.  Lacy-Thank-YouTo make the sentiment tag, I used the "Thank You So Much" stamp.  Before I inked it up I put a piece of tape over the "so much". Next I dipped it in ink, removed the tape and stamped the "Thank You" sentiment.  I trimmed it, used a corner rounder and a hole punch to fashion it it into a tag.  This looks so elegant, but was really so easy.

Thanks for stopping by for a peek!

Christmas Ornament Decoration

Christmas Ornament Decoration 1
Greetings Fellow Crafters:

I thought it would be fun use the new Jasper Ornament Outline die in a unique way to create project. First I die cut six Jasper Ornament Outlines in white cardstock and six Jasper Ornament Backgrounds in red cardstock. Glue them together and flip over and score down the middle. Then pinch them to create a nice bend.

Die cut four Small Blooming Poinsettias with white cardstock and add a red rhinestone to center. Save leaves.

Die cut or punch out of white cardstock a circle 1⅜″ and one ⅞″. Glue the ornaments around the 1⅜″ circle. Glue the ⅞″ circle on top and then tuck in the leaves from the Small Blooming Poinsettia slightly underneath it. Add Small Blooming Poinsettia and you are done.

I have added additional pictures to my blog to show you the steps.

It's Very Merry!

It's going to be a Merry Christmas with so many great dies to choose from!  I love the Cursive Merry die ... it's just the right size, not too small, not too large.  And I seem to be really stuck on the Berry Sprig die ... it's so versatile and delicate.

Here I used an oval die for the opening, then embossed the piece and layered it onto the card front.  I cut two Berry Sprig pieces and added glitter to the berries.  I cut two Lovely Tendrils from two shades of green, then gathered the stems, tied them together with red twine, and added this to the front.  The Cursive Merry fit perfectly in the oval opening.

We hope you'll continue to be inspired by all of our creations with these wonderful new dies!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tweeting You A Merry Christmas

I'm a graphic junkie and I love this little bird graphic.  Finally I have the perfect home for it.  When I saw the Winterflake Frame, I knew exactly how I wanted to use it.  I cut the frame twice.  The first cut was on white cardstock.  The second cut was made by centering the die over the bird graphic.  I die cut the graphic and layered it over the bird graphic.  Well, I wasn't quite happy, so I die cut the white card stock again, glittered it and layered it over the first layer of white card stock.  OHHHHHHH Glitter!  Now what to put it on.  I cut a piece of Wassail card stock to 4 1/8 x 5 1/4 adheared that to white card stock and then added my graphic and frame.  Pretty easy no?  Oh, yes it is.

Now, what to do with the inside....hmmmmmm.  Wait, I think I know,

The sentiment is resting on the portion of card stock that fell off, after I cut the Winterflake Frame.  Waste not, want not......Not to mention it's like getting two dies for the price of one....smart no?  Oh yes.....I love a bargin.  Then I stamped the sentiment, which fit perfectly.  The Giovanna Snowflake added the finishing touch....well, I had to add some glitter....now I'm happy!

I've got to tell you, I love making Christmas cards.  I make them all year long.  The new Poppystamps dies and cling stamps are making cardmaking sooooo much fun.  Check out all the new dies, I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do.

Until next time.....Happy Crafting!

Sparkling Christmas

Sparkling Christmaspoppystamps
I love making Christmas Cards, It's a good thing too because I usually make at least 50 to send out! I also love glitter. My card has an embossed layer of paper (it is actually the flip side of a memory box card, nice that they are white on ones side and color on the other) I had a scrap of heavy glitter paper and silver paper that I used to cut the ornament and background. A tip if you are cutting something heavier than cardstock, I like to run it through my big shot at least three times to insure it cuts through. Most of the time twice works nicely. I added some fancy trim for my hangers, then stamped the sentiment in two colors. I carefully inked up part of it in black and sparkle in red too coordinate. I hope you enjoy my sparkly card.

Love the Diamond Die

I am truly in love with the Diamond Background Die.  It looks so elegant on any kind of card.  I kept with the Christmas theme and add the Deer Silhouette stamp.  I inked the stamp with Versamark and then applied silver embossing powder to stay with the silver background.  I heat embossed and I gave the card some bling and voila - there it is.  Hope you like it.
