All Dressed In White

Birthday-Christmas-You-ChooWhile having a play day with my buddy Brenda, I decided to play with Poppystamps Blooming Poinsettia.  I've had this die for quite some time, having purchased it early in Spring, but until yesterday, I'd not played with it.  I love white on white, and earlier I'd made a Christmas card using white on white with just a single pop of color.  Check out my blog page if you want to see what I made.

Getting back on track....I couldn't decide if I wanted to make a Christmas card, or a Birthday card, or a Wedding card, so, I made a card that I can add a sentiment at a later date.  This is a method I use often.  I hate getting caught needing a card and having lots of cards that don't fit the occassion.  When I started creating with this die, I was thinking Christmas.  I am pleased that this die doesn't just have to be Christmas.  Layering the poinsettia makes a beautiful fantasy flower.  I have a feeling this card will be a birthday card for a very favorite gal.

Lots of glitter, pretty ribbon and some bling....and this card is finished. This card is quick and very easy.

Here's the die I used:  Poppystamps Blooming Poinsettia #861

Key questions...

Hi everybody, it's Ira again with some key questions for you ;-) We all have different things that we value most in life, for me these would be Love, Life and Happiness. In that particular order, for without Love, Life would be worthless, and without Happiness you wouldn't Love Life. For some it would be money, success and status, others might choose family or friends. Which keys would you pick? I made the ovals in Word. And the dash of pink? What would Life be if we didn't have any colour in it!

The key to... August 2013

I used the following dies:

Seasons Greetings with Cat

A lamp post, a kitten, some music and pretty red flowers all come together in this festive Christmas card.  I love how the Ivy Tendril perfectly winds around the post, and the tiny Floral Delight flowers add a colorful touch.  Thanks for stopping by, and hope you enjoy!

Wishing You A Happy Day

Recently a neighbor asked if I had a wedding card she could borrow.  I guess she planned on showing it to the couple and then giving it back.  Little humor here!  Anyway, it got me thinking, maybe I should have at least one wedding and a few baby cards on hand.  This is my wedding/anniversary card.  I hope you like it.  For this card I used Poppystamps Cecilia Flower Outline and Cecilia Flower.   I don't know if you can see it, but I die cut the leaves using the same embossed card stock as I did for the back ground.  For the flower base, I die cut a piece of white card stock and glittered it before adhering the outline die.  I also used a few Memory Box dies on the outside of this card.  And two Memory Box rubber stamps.  I used the Grand Heart and also the La Rue Heart

And Memory Box Rubber Stamps....I can't forget to tell you about these.  I don't know why I've never thought of this, see the stamped image on the Grand Heart.... well, it's a Memory Box stamp named Intricate Heart. The sentiment is  Wishing You - Combo Pack

Are you ready for the inside?  Ready or not.....

Pretty simple no?  I repeated the embossing envelope from the front, made a frame using mirror silver and I found some bits of silver ribbon/cord, and then the best part of all, I added the Poppystamps Bubble Daisy Border.  Isn't it delicate?  And I like the movement of it.  Sooooo very pretty and I know I'll find tons of uses for this die.

Well, that's about it for today.  I hope you find the time to peek at all the Design Team Members creations, lots of pretty things to see.  I know they are having as much fun as I am creating our projects.

Until next time...Happy crafting!

Stained Glass Birthday

Welcome to the Poppystamps blog, today I have a Bright Birthday Card for your inspiration. When I received this die I knew exactly what I was going to create with it! I love stained glass but have never tried the art in the traditional sense.  With a piece of acetate and some copic markers along with these awesome dies you can simulate it!

Tilda Swirl

Feathered tilda swirl

Good afternoon fellow PoppyStampers!  Today I'm sharing my blue card which features the Tilda Swirl.  I love how easy this die is to cut and work with.  It adds a touch of elegance to a card when used with all colours.  I added a small flower to finish it off.  Hope you like it :)  Until next time.

Rainy Day

We've had a spectacular summer in the Pacific Northwest, but all good things do come to an end, and rainy days are just around the corner. For this card, I wanted to create a warm, inviting interior that said, "Even if it's raining, it's still cheery inside my home."

I know that an open umbrella is considered "bad luck" by some. I just couldn't resist adding a bright pop of color to the scene.

The chair was stamped on patterned paper and die cut with its matching die. I paper pieced the pillow.

Supplies: Memory Box Graphite cardstock, Brioche patterned paper, Nightfall patterned paper

Dots of Color!

This sweet floral themed card features lots of dots of color made entirely out of paper from the Memory Box collection! The soft cool greens and blues look light and airy against a background from the Memory Box Brioche Collection paper pack. It's easy to change the seasons by changing the color palette.

Live your life in color!

Negatives and Positives

Afternoon fellow card-makers!

Today I am sharing my "negative" card.  It seems like such a waste to cut out images and then discard the negative so I've started saving up my pieces and have decided to make some cards out of them.

Today's card is a simple one die card using the Poppy Stamps Lorelai Leaf #839  The paper is from my HUGE box of paper scraps and the riboon is from a drawer I have full of ribbons.  The 3 red stones are from a package of 200 from the Dollar Store.  I do love that store!

So that's my card for today.  Thanks for stopping by and feel free to peruse the blog as it holds a lot of talented work done by talented people :)
