Hi everyone! Did you have a great weekend? Hope so! Today's project features a fun technique of watercoloring with inks. Our Peony Blossom stamp is perfect for this technique! Hope you will give it a try! No special tools required and the results are super fun and unique.
Here's my finished card. Don't you love yellow and pink for Spring? So cheerful!
Here is a close up of the Peony Blossoms....
Start off by embossing with white embossing powder onto white paper to make your outline.
Then you take a water pen and fully saturate the paper with water. Then take ink from a re-inker or the top of an ink pad, and start coloring into the water. The water will take the ink and make it flow into different variations of color. For my Peonies I used two shades of pink and one yellow.
Here you can see I took the ink straight from the ink pads...
You don't have to be super careful with your watercoloring, because you will cut out your flowers after they're dry...
I added some glitter glue to the centers and a nice cheery sentiment to complete this card.
Thank you for coming by the Poppystamps blog today!
