The first card from the new collection!

Greetings and Happy Almost New Year! Did you have a great Christmas?

Dave has created a new Collection for both Memory Box and Poppystamps for Spring! The Memory Box collection is called Love and Kindness - how appropriate - and has both dies and stamps. The Poppystamps part of the collection is a set of pretty new dies...see our last post for all of them. Today's card combines some items from each collection. I hope you are ready to move on to Spring crafting?! I know I am! I can't even tell you how anxious I was to get my hands on this new stuff!

1

New Butterflies! In this case I put two layers together for more depth and interest. This is the Moonlight Butterfly. There are two more new ones....

2

The big heart was cut out with the Cupid Heart Die and then I stamped inside with grey ink using the Classic Heart Stamp. The detail is superb.

The two keys are part of the Poppystamps collection - Bookcase Key and Attic Key. I can think of about a thousand things I want to use these for. I used a dark charcoal grey bazzill paper for the keys.

I think this would make a nice Valentine Card or even a pretty wedding card. I hope you are going to run off to the e-store and get some new goodies!

Merry and Bright

P1060425

Arctic Penguin and his warm felt scarf would make anyone smile on the coldest winter day.  He and the Anna Snowflake even have special matching dies - no more hand-cutting...another reason to smile!  View the Poppystamps Holiday Collection here.

If your handmade cards are already headed to their lucky recipients, it would be easy to convert this design into a cute little tag.  Add a bright red ribbon and attach it to a gift or jar of holiday treats.

The felt scarf was stamped with Black ColorBox Crafter's Pigment Ink - it's specially-formulated for surfaces like wood, fabric and clay, which are very absorbent and/or textured.  I accidentally learned that it's great for stamping and embossing on watercolor paper - which is both textured and absorbent.

Here are the directions for this project:

Winter Butterfly...and our giveaway continues!

Thank you, everyone, for all the awesome comments you've been leaving here on the blog and on our facebook page! It's so nice to hear from you! The contest/giveaway continues through tomorrow (Saturday at midnight) so feel free to leave another comment...for more chances to win.

Today's card features another way to use the great Sparkle Snowflake Background Stamp! When I first saw it, I immediately thought "flowers!" I think it works just as well as snow, flowers, or just an overall pretty background for any kind of card. Very versatile.

The background was stamped in a golden ink color to match that great patterned paper! Always a favorite, is the Cocoa Butterfly and matching die...

Let it snow!

Hi Bloggy friends and happy Winter! It's cold everywhere by now, and we are all hunkering down and getting ready for the holidays! Today's card features more yummy Winter Poppystamps dies goodness! Have you seen the window dies??? They're fabulous! (and not to give away anything...but...wait until you see what Dave came up with for Spring to go with the windows!)

1

The window die was cut out of white cardstock and then a little brown ink was put around the edges to soften it and make it seem a little vintage. Awesome Memory Box papers were used to look like wallpaper and blue skies.

2

The sentiment is one of the new Poppystamps cling stamps and then I added a few little trees to the banner.

3

The window was popped up with foam tape to add some dimension to the card and the scene. I love this color scheme for a nice winter greeting!

815 Grand Madison Window Die

Happy Holidays!

Hi there! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you are ready for another great holiday week ahead. Today we're sharing a card from the talented Lori from Ink About it in Massachusetts! She taught a recent class and this card was one of her adorable projects. This new stamp is a favorite around here for sure!

MB card from Lori

She used the Snowtime Fun stamp and matching die, and then the new Happy Holidays sentiment cling stamp. Isn't this fun? She made a pretty glitter border around her card using scor-tape and colored the image in with colored pencils. Just a sweet, fun card!

Thanks for popping in to see us!
