Garden Harmony

A Soiree Aquamarine Shimmer card creates a quiet setting for the Outline Kimono (244E) stamped on a floral print from the Memory Box Spearmint 6x6 Set.  The cascading willow branches in the background are also from the Spearmint set.  Sometimes a set of papers is perfect for a set of stamps. This seems like one of those times.

Harmony (263C) -  and a trio of Mint Pearl Stickers - are all you need to finish the card. Simple and quiet, quick and easy!

Peony in Bloom

The Solid Peony Blossom (240C), Fancy Background (257G) and Happiness (274B) - all in Rocket Red Gold - create an easy card to celebrate a special occasion or convey good wishes. A Peony Notecard is the perfect backdrop for this project.

Asian-themed cards seem to work best in simple, asymmetric layouts.  Let the card itself frame the design, and add subtle accents - always in odd numbers.

Here's a preview of the six cards we'll be making in this Sunday's Asian Elements Poppystamps class at the University Village Impress.

We'll use an assortment of stamps - and a variety of inks and special techniques -  in this fast-paced class.  Resists, brayering, overlays and color-blending are just a few of the processes featured in the class.
